KTM Bicycles makes their modern day debut into the top levels of the pro peloton with the new Delko Marseille Provence KTM team. The French registered team was running the standard KTM Revelator road bikes, which are a little more race oriented than the Revelator Prime version that debuted last summer as a more endurance oriented version with disc and rim brake options.

The team’s bikes are equipped with bits from SRAM, Corima, Time, Schwalbe and Sigma. Check them out, and more, below…

Delko is a French auto parts retailer, and Marseille Provence promotes tourism to the Marseille region.

Quarq is listed as a team sponsor, but the bikes we saw didn’t have power meters installed. Time pedals were in use, a somewhat rare sight in a sea of Dura-Ace and Look Keo pedals.

Corima S+ carbon tubulars were glued to Schwalbe One tires. The Corima brake pads don’t have the good looks of SwissStop’s, but they get the job done.

Sigma is another brand you don’t see as often in the pro peloton, but their Rox 10.0 GPS cycling computers were being used to track mileage. Different team members had different ways of marking the route on their stem (click to enlarge).

Movistar is riding Canyon’s Aeroad (left) and Ultimate carbon road bikes, all equipped with Campagnolo wheels and group.

The Power2max power meter spider is mated to carbon cranks with a steel spindle that are specifically made by Campagnolo for use with a power meter.  The arms sit somewhere in between Record and Super Record quality, but get a weird dimple just in front of the spindle hole. They’re shaped for Campy’s four-bolt chainrings.

Team Sky didn’t have anything really new to show, but their bikes are still (always) worth a look.

Team members get their name and nationality stickered on their Garmin cycling computer, along with the Stages logo. If there were ever any doubt that no detail is too small for the stylish persona of Team Sky, even the tape for marking course climbs and checkpoints is color matched to the frame.

Their bikes were parked next to this classic steel Pinarello from a generation prior.

I had a red 27-year old Pinarello Treviso that I sold for $700, which was probably about as much as I paid for it. I wonder how much the current crop of any bikes is worth 25 years later?

Weird dimple on the Campag cranks? You mean the hole to access the c-clip retainer ring?
