RaceWare Cervelo S5 Garmn Bar Mount-2

Cervelo’s S5 bar that we first saw last year, is about as slick and aero as one can get while keeping your standard stem, but it makes mounting a computer rather difficult. Raceware’s new mount solves this problem without losing the aero profile. They’ve also been working on some new GoPro/”everything GoPro compatible” under-stem and seat-rail mounts giving you more options than ever as well as mounts for Polar computers.

Jump past the break to see another S5 bar mount as well as several options to mount just about anything imaginable…

RaceWare Cervelo S5 Garmin Mount and Light Clip

Adding to the Cervelo S5 mount above, Raceware also has a GoPro compatible mount for under the bars for holding things such as… well, a GoPro, light, or even Garmin’s Varia head unit that works with their rear view radar system. Retail on the top bar mount is $49.99, and the bottom mount is TBD.

RaceWare Di2 Junction Box Spacer-3 RaceWare Campgnolo EPS Junction Box Holder

Raceware showed us their spacer mounted junction box mount last year which cleans your cockpit of any rubber bands. Now they have one for the Campagnolo EPS junction box as well. Retail on the standard spacer mount is $24.99 and a carbon version will run $38.99.

RaceWare saddle rail mount for Garmin Varia Rear

Raceware also has a new new GoPro compatible saddle mount. The one pictured is made to hold Garmin’s new Varia traffic sensing light, but it will hold any light with the right adapter. It will also hold a Garmin computer mount under the seat for situations like when track riders, who are not allowed to have a computer on the bars, want to record their event. The saddle rail mount with Varia attachment retails for $55.00.

RaceWare Intergrated mount-Di2-GoPro-Garmin-Light

Also new is their GoPro compatible under the bar mount for Giant’s Contact SLR integrated system giving you more options for mounting lights, computers and the junction box. Retail on the SLR mount is $49.99.

RaceWare Polar V650 Twin Mount RaceWare Polar V650 out front mount

They now have mounts for Polar’s M450 and V650 computers as well. Though we’ve heard rumors….. (cause that what we do), of others coming out with a version of their own, Raceware says they are the only ones currently making an aftermarket out front mount for the new Polar computers. Prices are TBD, but will likely follow the rest of the line at $49.99

RaceWare Cervelo S5 Aero Bar Front plate Garmin Mount

Raceware is also working on a mount for the 3T ARX stem and Cervelo S5 combo that attaches via the stem bolts for a clean look. They are also coming out with TT mounts in several sizes to better center your product of choice. Price TBD

I’ve had a RaceWareDirect mount since… Oh gosh, 2012? The 3d printed plastic has held up wonderfully, and I bought a few more for my other bikes and TT bars.

It’s niche companies like this I enjoy reading about and watching closely. Small inovations that quietly solve problems. Raceware, nice job

Another way to solve the S5 Handlebar mounting issue:
1. Remove bar from stem
2. Throw it in the trash (or actually ebay the d*mn thing, the Fondo/Masters market for something like this is probably huge)

1) Buy insanely expensive bar to be super aero.
2) Put bike computer and lights above and below bar to ruin all aero from fancy bar.
3) Get all the mental boost from aero bar with none of the actual aero benefits.

Seriously though, great work from a small company, but I bet the market for this is rather small.

The bog standard mount included with all Garmin’s that uses rubber o rings goes on just fine straight around the bar in front of the stem through the gap.

Now had they made one that lines the computer up with the bar for aero goodness, that would be worth shouting about.

And Chris, those bars are one of the most comfortable bars ever produced, especially if you use the forearms flat from the hoods best aero position or a narrow pretend aerobar position.
I wish somebody would take them off and flog them off cheap, I would own a set except for the price.

Chis, Have you had your coffee, yet?
Darryl, Agree, love the bar. When Damon Rinard was still at Cervelo, he posted on Slowtwitch that the bar tested better with the Garmin on the stem and not out front. Seems counterintuitive.

Chris…I agree. Those bars are nice, but they’re a P.I.T.A. for routing cables. As a shop, we solved the issue by dropping Cervelo. I’m happy to report, that we haven’t had a problem with the bars since!

The Garmin mount is a neat solution though!

OR how about just duct taping everything you need to the handlebar while you are at it?
Computer, light, phone, garmin, junction box, bottles, extra set of inner tubes, …

Nice work otherwise! 🙂

CDG, I thought that they are one of the easiest bars to cable with nice smooth runs, the only thing is that you are restricted with exactly where to mount the lever, but the spot that cables the best is the perfect spot ergonomically anyways.
The only complaint I have with Cervelo is stupid creaking Rotor BB’s.

Bill, obvious aero shadow from the stem plate bolts and the sloping away stem profile for the computer, so not so counter intuitive, but it sucks to read there.
Out front is way better.

The bars are bada$$ and the Raceware custom 3D printed Garmin mount is also bada$$. In conclusion, they are both bada$$. I’m too old to use the phrase correctly, but something about haters hating blah blah blah.
