While complete wheels get most of the attention these days, some folks are still hand picking each component to get exactly what they want (or just color match their team kit). For those riders, Easton’s new Arc rims let ’em take advantage of the larger tires and wider rims taking over the trails.

The Arc rims will be available in both 27.5 and 29er sizes, coming in 28, 31 and 34 millimeter external widths. Internal widths correspond at 24, 27 and 30 millimeters respectively. It’s a welded rim that’s tubeless ready, using a bead barb and bead hook to help lock the tire onto the rim so you can run lower pressures. Available with 32 spoke holes only. Full specs below…

Love to see those on my Yeti ARC.

That Arc with the 24mm internal rim would be a great 27.5 for my gravel build, and would also fit the Schwalbe Procore system if I wanted to make it bombproof.

I wish these rims were made in USA, would love them on a set of King hubs on my Foes bike….

I’m out…no 26″, how hard would it have been to cut the extrusion a bit shorter?

I wonder when Mavic will finally decide to produce rims in modern widths

@BT right, all the mavic wheel sets I’ve owned have been bombproof. If they had wider rims and better engagement…

I’m hearing these things are $99 each MSRP. Can anyone confirm?

@BT, Mavic doesn’t know what their doing. Their idea of rim design is slapping new decals on rims that have been around a decade or more.

I would rather have Velocity’s Blunt SS rim.
Their 29er rim is 30mm wide, 425 grams, and Made in the USA

@michael the Blunt SS is a super lightweight cross-country rim, good luck having it hold up under hard trail/all mountain use.

@michael velocity blunt SS rims are 26.6 internal, the 30mm is the external width which really has no bearing on tire profile.
