Every year, Interbike is one of the first chances dealers have to test all the fat bikes for the coming year. There’s one problem though – Outdoor Demo is completely lacking in snow. Sure, the loose desert conditions are excellent testing grounds for the traction monsters known as fat bikes, but riding a FatBack in snow is something else entirely. In order to give show goers a taste of true winter riding, FatBack has partnered with Interbike and SnowParties.com to ship in enough snow to build a mile long, fat bike only test track. The track will get a second round of fresh powder after the first day, culminating in a end of demo party Tuesday afternoon…

For Immediate release:

Anchorage, AK April 1st, 2015 Fatback Bikes, pioneers in fat bike technology since 2007, forecasts snow in Boulder City, NV during the Dirt Demo at Interbike. We have collaborated with Interbike and Snowparties.com to make enough snow for a 1 mile fat bike only test loop and pump track. We will have the trail built and ready to ride Monday morning with a refresh of snow after the first day finishes. Together with Snow Parties we have estimated that it will take 37,000 tons of snow to complete. “Many of us have ridden the Fatback Corvus all winter on the dirt, next season we will take up where Mother Nature has left off”. Greg Maytas (Fatback Bikes Owner) said “ This will be an amazing opportunity for all industry employees to experience the winningest fat bike brand in the world in it’s original environment.”

To celebrate the “first snow” of the 2015/16 fat bike season the Crew from Fatback Bikes will be hosting a party Tuesday afternoon at Dirt Demo, any and all snow that has not melted will be made into margaritas. All Interbike attendees are invited to take part in this once in a lifetime event.
