Dream Factory 2015 options 2

Even when you’re buying a bike “off the rack” in terms of geometry and spec, custom paint can’t be overlooked in terms of cycling panache. Whether you’re trying to match your team kit, your favorite sports team, or just your favorite colors, LG is continuing to bring custom creations to life for 2015. Their Dream Factory Custom Paint Program ranks among a few other companies offering custom paint on a large scale in spite of the logistical concerns to make it work.

In 2015, the program applies to five different bikes in a number of builds, including framesets. Details on the Dream Factory next…

Dream Factory 2015 options

Split into 5 different options, all of the custom levels available through LG will be an up charge starting at the $375 Option 1. As you move up in options, and in price, you get more control over the complete design including logos and matte or glossy finishes. The most advanced option will tack on an additional $650 and allow for the most customization including mixing matte and glossy finishes. Riders can also add their name and/or national flag to the finish for no additional charge.

Dream Factory 2015

Available on the Gennix R1, Gennix E1 road bikes, Steeple XC Cross bike, and Gennix TR1, and T1 Triathlon/TT bikes, each bike includes a number of build options including different wheelsets. However, individual components and component sizes do not appear to be customizable through the Dream Factory Builder.

@rileymartin: Quite a few actually – they sponsor a few semi-pro teams up here in Canada and in Europe. They aren’t super common still but I see them about as often as some of the boutique brands at least. The custom paint is actually pretty nice for the price.

Louis Garneau bikes are typically sold as a low end product in shops that try to compete with department stores or if they are not able to access better quality brands such as Giant , Trek etc . Not many people who ride a bike in public would admit with a straight face to spending more than 400$ on a LG bike .

Tim,

That,s balder dash, I rode a Garneau Sonix G-4 on my first pro team (Jittery Joe’s) and it was a great ride.Made in the same factory , with the same carbon wrap of frames costing twice as much. Let me know where I can get one for $400.

@Tim,

If you still think that a name brand bike is still made in Europe, then you have some reading up to do. You can get a really nice Garneau for about half the price of a Pinarello/Colnago/Time.

What you’re really paying for is the prestige. Wait ’til Europcar starts riding Garneau in 2016…

Bas, rileymartin, & Tim: It’s evident you’re purposely bashing LG or you’re highly uninformed. LG bikes are superb. Engineering, materials, layout, design, manufacturing, painting, parts…top-shelf through & through. LG has DreamFactory. Do department stores or competing manufacturers? Nope. LG is giving: Check out their “Causes” link, Little Brothers, sponsored teams, etc.
Not only are Garneau bikes superb, their product lines extend to accessories and clothing; great clothing!
Ride, for instance, their Gennix R1, fellas! You’ll be as impressed as this former devoted Cannondale rider is and has been.
Go Louis!!
