Portland Design Works lars rover 650 450 barkeep blaq (2)

As far as we were concerned, the new PDW Lars Rover lights had already blasted off after seeing them at Interbike. In what has become tradition for Portland Design Works however, the new product isn’t really launched until there is an entertaining video featuring the new goods. At 650 lumens for the more powerful version, the Lars Rover has more than enough power for most nocturnal shenanigans.

Seriously, night riding is awesome when you have a good light. Power up with the Lars Rover next…

From PDW:

Trust the Lars Rover to light your way home – wherever you ride.

When exploration takes you to the dark, uncharted regions of space, the Lars Rover™ 650 and Lars Rover™ 450 is the perfect vehicle. These USB-rechargeable explorers are Lithium-Ion powered with low-battery indicator, penetrating Cree LED, and a precision reflector to provide superior off-planet navigation. The rugged alloy construction keeps you rolling no matter how inhospitable the alien atmosphere. Houston, we don’t have a problem.

@Alistair Good call. You should launch an investigation and get back to us on how many days out of the year they could shoot this video before 10pm. Hint: the latest the sun sets in portland is 9:03pm. Aaaand go!
