Too bad they can’t get the shoes to fit people or design them well enough to not fall apart in less than a season.

I used a set of their Fasterkatt’s all last season and loved them! Perfect fit, and kept my feet toasty! Looking forward to busting them out again this year!

@anon: Sorry, you’re wrong. I put a set of Wolvhammers through this past Wisconsin winter and they came out quite unscathed, plus they fit quite well – although sizing is admittedly a tad off – try before you buy! I’m dreading the day when I need to strap these monsters back on (not the biggest fan of winter) but at least I know my feat will be warm and cozy. I’m a fan!

After looking at the other photos on the 45NRTH website, these look a lot like the Louis Garneau “boots” I bought, more of a doctored up shoe than a purpose built boot. Hope these are better for those that get them. I replaced the LGs with a pair of Diadora Polaris boots, much better fit, feel, waterproof and warmer. They have held up exceptionally well too. And I’ll go one step further than wako29 – winter sucks and I’m not looking forward to it.

Bob did you really just bag on these, without ever trying them? Nice. Must be hard to be in the bike biz these days, all the internet arm chair quarterback’s out there like yourself must make life pretty difficult for the manufacturer’s. They are not the same shoe.

My shop carried these and the LG’s. Totally different shoe. If you haven’t tried them, try them. They just work.

No haromania, I “bagged” the LGs after trying them for a season. What I said about the 45NRTH, “Hope these are better for those that get them.”

I bought a first-generation set of Wolvhammers in the same size that I wear in SIDI (which fit me perfectly). The Wolvhammers are just as perfectly-fit to my feet as the SIDI’s and were spot-on with sizing. Their durability has not been a problem at all for me either. That said, they’re not perfect, but the best I’ve ever had by far.
