Road Id new bands

As one of the cheapest investments you can make in your safety in the event of a crash, RoadIDs can play a pivotal role in contacting loved ones, or pointing out medical info to first responders. But, we all know how important it is to match your kit so RoadID is now offering three new additional colors of bands for your color coordination needs. Or maybe you just like white. Either way, we’re assuming the yellow’s proximity to a LiveStrong bracelet may not be the most popular due to recent developments..

Also, if you wear your heart, and your activities, on your sleeve RoadID is offering new badges that sit next to the ID badge. Most of the badges are simply a space to customize your RoadID to your activities, but the Medical Alert Badge is probably a good one to have if you need it. RoadIDs are available for $17.99-29.99, while the badges run another $4.99.

For peace of mind that’s a little more high tech, check out the free RoadID app after the break!

Sort of a mobile version of the ice. crash sensor, RoadID’s app offers tracking of your activities for your friends and family. There is also an optional stationary alert that will notify your emergency contacts if you stop moving for more than 5 minutes.

eCrumb Screen Lock Screen Final

The eCrumb tracking service creates a virtual profile of your run or ride that can be seen by friends and family in real time. The app will notify your selected contacts that you are headed out for a ride or run, in addition to notifying them if you stop moving with the stationary alert. Anyone viewing your progress does not need the app.

Additionally, the app gives you the opportunity to create a custom lock screen for your phone that will display your emergency contacts and important medical information without requiring first responders to actually get into your phone. The screen can display your name, city and state, up to 3 emergency contacts, and important medical information.

All of this, and the app is completely free. Currently, it is only available for iPhone, but there will likely be an Android version in the near future. For more information check out the FAQs on the RoadID Site.
