Prototype Niner Long Travel Mountain Bike Tested at Enduro World Series

Niner made little secret about testing a new long travel 29er bike at Trestles Bike Park for the most recent round of the Enduro World Series.

The bike looks like it’s built around the same travel and general angles of the WFO, but with the swoopier airformed tubes of the latest alloy RIP9 and JET9 bikes. That gives it a much sleeker, faster look than the tank-like aesthetics of the current WFO. While the current WFO gets spec’d with a Fox TALAS 110/140 fork, that’s the same as the new RIP9 RDO, making us think this one’s easily able to run a 150 fork up front. Conveniently, Rockshox’s new Pike comes in a 150mm option, and that’s probably what’s shown in the next photo…

Note the mysterious white shock, which looks to be an unmarked Monarch Plus. Look for the official unveil at Eurobike.

  1. the rear shock is a Monarch Plus, they came in white for a while just about a year ago along with the rest of the monarchs that year.
