Prototype GT 650B Enduro Mountain Bike Spotted Under Dan Atherton

At round one of the ’13 UK Enduro Series in Afan, Dan Atherton was spotted racing a prototype 650B bike from GT. It’s not the first time we’ve spotted a bike with the ‘tweener wheel size from them, but now we’re seeing it coming out of the gate.

It’s tough to tell if the i-Drive system gets updated, but it’s clear from the talent the brand is bringing to the starting line this year that they’re making a push. We’ve heard there’ll be some big news from the brand this summer, and we’re betting this bike is part of it. More pics plus video after the break, catch Dan about 2/3 of the way through…

  1. It’s as stock bike with some custom dropouts and a 650 fork. There’s an interview and non blurry photos on dirt.mpora.com

  2. Force Carbon front tri, alu rear tri, 650 fork/wheels. Wonder if its a standard carbon front triangle and it would be possible to retrofit Force frames with rear only? Wonder what that would do to headtube angle….or how much it would acrually slacken it?
