Hunter Cycles Debuts Limited Run of Hunter Nugz Canti Barrel Adjuster Ends
Produced for his cyclocross team, Hunter Cycles’ Hunter Nugz may very well be a solution to a problem that won’t exist in a few years.
In the meantime, they’re available for $25 a pair (enough for one bike) and provide micro adjustments of your cantilever brakes. The road brake end of the cable slides through before running over and around to the other brake…and if that description sucks as bad as I think it does, just click on through for that a-ha! moment…
They’re designed around Paul’s brakes, so check compatibility before stockpiling them. Ordering instructions at the link above.
Thanks to Dan for the tip!

What a painfully obvious idea! THIS what I call innovation, when a product is so useful yet so simple. Great stuff, really.
They’re less attractive but Jagwire has been making a similar product for some time now: http://jagwireusa.com/index.php/products/v/Straddle_Cables_Carriers
Avid Shorty Ultimate has already incorporated this into the brake. But I love Hunter’s bikes so maybe I’ll buy some anyway.
I’ve had these on my CX ride paired with Pauls for a while now and love them. Hunter makes some great stuff.
