  • The League of American Bicyclists is hosting the National Women’s Bicycling Summit in Long Beach, CA, on September 13th. Tickets are $35 for this half-day event that will focus on the importance of getting more women on bikes. Event starts at 2:30pm with a break for dinner, then the Cycle Chic fashion show, an after party, and a social ride the next morning at 10m.
  • The second annual Double Down Circuit Race at the Carolina Motorsports Park in Kershaw, SC, will be held on Saturday, August 11th. Two races will be held per category in this one-day challenge, and, if you win both races, your payout is doubled! Last year, 5 of the 7 categories “Doubled Down” including Pro winner Neil Bezdek (Team Mountain Khakis) who walked away with $1400! Camping is available for Friday night, and the go-kart track will be open for go-kart rentals.
  • Keeping cyclists well covered between rides, Après Velo wants you to refer a friend to join their “Cog-regation” and in return, they’ll give you a gift voucher for half of your friend’s first purchase! Your friend must order by midnight AEST July 29th. All info here.
  • Chrome Industries is the title sponsor of this years’ Cycle Messenger World Championships in Chicago August 2nd-5th.
