I can’t believe those are now old enough to be considered vintage. I remember when those came out…

rock shox disc brake. i have a set, and the 3 bolt hub from white

Ryan - 07/02/12 - 10:22pm

AMP Research cable actuated caliper and 1st gen disc. I’m still running a second gen disc (floating design) I got at Interbike Philly in 1995 on my ’95 S-Works FSR

Troy Junge - 07/03/12 - 12:15am

AMP disc for sure – I would say circa 1995.
Remember seeing it reviewed in a german MTB magazine – I think the caliper sheared off the fork, or the disc off the hub.
At least it is not anodised purple

Answer from Jeff at First Flight Bicycles: “Rock Shox disc brake”

Brendan - 07/03/12 - 1:58pm

Worst brake ever?

TRP - 07/04/12 - 3:48am

It should be “semi-hydraulic” disc brake”

Rich - 07/04/12 - 8:15am

Worst brake ever?

Nope that would be the SACH Power disc http://bike198.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/sachs-power-disc.jpg

or maybe early CODA (Cannondale discs)…
