You never know what you’ll find floating around the internet. These photos were uploaded by a pinkbike user and include details of the yet to be announced/released Specialized Carbon Demo 8.

According to the PDFs there will be two different completes offered – the Team Replica and Carbon Demo I. Only 250 Team Replica bikes will be offered. The stand out features of the Team Replica bike include a 12×135 mm rear axle (instead of the typical 150mm axle more commonly found on DH bikes) for additional clearance on tight sections of world cup tracks.

For this bike, Specialized is also utilizing a micro drive system, with a 9T cog resting on a custom DT Swiss hub.
