Pedals made to adjust the cleats position on shoes!
An early attempt at clipless pedals.
Adidas Systeme 3 pedals. Around 1988.
PEDALS!!! Clipless! Requiring the most unusual cleat ever.
A good way to remove the skin from your face and break a collar bone.
They are Addidas Systeme 3 pedals. They had to be used with the Addidas shoes.The shoe was the cleat. It had grooves in the side of the sole. You slid you foot onto the pedals. The lever released the shoe.

Yep, I remember those Adidas pedals. I believe Merckx also had a version called Podio.
I believe these were properly called “Adidas Death Cleats”.
