Lego Downhill Mountain Bike Sets?

A while back, designer James Dick created a Sam Hill Monster Energy downhill mountain bike lego set mock up.

Now, he’s found out that Lego has a new fan concept submission section on their website where you can upload your own ideas or vote on other submissions to help push them to the top of the brick maker’s mind. To create another stir, he’s mocked up a retro Rob Warner set complete with Freecaster.tv reporter and DH bike. Seems a bit unrealistic; I haven’t seen many fat old bearded ladies on the downhill courses myself.

I don’t think Lego is going to be too eager to work on this based on a mock-up displaying Coors logos on a product intended for children.

One thing right is the clown suit. Most cycling kit amounts to a clown suit, but none more that what I see in the DH scene.

The old Marzocchi fork is a nice touch too.

@Matt m You **really** think lego is for children? Some is but there is a vast audience of adults too. Why do you think it’s on this site? This isn’t nickelodeon or Disney channel.
