Team Sky and Adidas have now made available to the public replica kit identical to that worn by Bradley Wiggins, Greg Henderson, Geraint Thomas and Edvald the Boss Hog.
Sky’s all-black, minimal kit seemed daring in 2010, but now, with many other teams seemingly going the same way (try telling Sky, Garmin-Cervélo and Leopard-Trek apart in helicopter shots on TV), the look has lost its freshness somewhat. Still, it remains good-looking, and everything from short-sleeved summer tops to bibs, winter training jerseys and caps will soon be gracing a store near you.
Adidas, like Nike, seems to have an ambivalent relationship to cycling apparel, often producing pro kit but only inconsistently making a full consumer range of goods. It’s a shame: both companies’ cleat-compatible trainers of a few years ago were a good value urban SPD shoe.

Ever since the start of the season we have been inundated with requests concerning the product range and hope you are as happy with the results as we are.
Team Sky have worked closely with adidas once again this season to improve the range from 2010, leading on the design and development of the products, and are excited to see them hit the shelves.
adidas feel the same and a spokesman from the company said: “adidas are proud to continue as the official sports apparel partner for Team Sky in 2011 and launch the brand-new adidas Team Sky replica range.
“The collection not only gives fans and followers of the team the opportunity to show their loyalty, but also allows cyclists everywhere to experience the results of the adidas and Team Sky relationship.”
The range will be available from the UK stockists listed at the bottom of this page. For overseas fans please contact Moa Sports, the licensed distributor for the Team Sky product range outside of the UK and Ireland: Tel: +39-0376-660777 or email@example.com
