True Freeride: Darren Berrelcloth’s 2000 Foot Hike-a-Bike

Like most great freeride pioneers, when Darren is traveling the most remote stretches of the globe, he is not only taking in the sights, but also observing all the natural features the area has to offer and thinking to himself, ” I can ride that.”

During one of Darren’s most recent trips to the Gobi Desert, his goal was to find and ride the biggest line he could find. After hiking his bike up the steep face all the way to the peak, some 2000 feet up, Bearclaw mounted up on his bike and pinned it all the way back down.

Fortunately for us, the folks at Freeride Entertainment were along for the ride to capture it all on film.

Insane – you bet. A rush – ABSOLUTELY !! Could I do it – not a snowball’s chance in hell :-)
But some major athelticism involved and I can certainly appreciate that. Great stuff.
