When Easton introduced the Haven all-mountain component line, they brought it out as a full group offering wheels and cockpit parts, and that’s led to some OEM placements as well as allowing you to build up your bike with matching components from the wheels up.

Now, their Havoc group, Haven’s bigger, burlier brother that’s made for full on freeride and downhill mountain biking, gets a broader selection of components to make it a more complete group.

The new Havoc handlebars come in a carbon version that’s the strongest freeride bar they’ve ever made and the strongest they’ve ever tested from anyone else. Read that again…the strongest bar they’ve ever made, bar none, including their alloy bars. In fact, Easton says they had to design a new testing machine because the couldn’t break it with their old testing machine. It’s a 750mm bar that weighs only 235g, and it’s a pretty sure bet you’re not going to have to worry about the warranty (but in case you lose sleep over such matters, it’s warrantied for life).

From there, they made some new stems, added colors and built a rad new wheelset. Even Haven got some wheel upgrades in the process. Weights, specs and photos after the break…

Havoc stems are all CNC’d, have tops of the front plates that are designed to fit flat together when bolted to the bar, leaving the gap at the bottom, a design that Easton says is stronger than a gap on both top and bottom. They also have ‘Distributed Stress Technology’ which is created by chamfering the edges so there are no stress risers created on the bar.

Wheels are totally new. They’re 50g heavier than the alloy Haven wheels, but have 23mm wide rims versus 21mm on Haven, 20mm thru axles only with hubs that have pushes the flanges out as wide as they can go. That means you can only run a 180mm or larger brake rotor on the front. Rear hub options are 10×135 and 12×135/142, and they’re swappable axles so you can change them out.

For Haven (silver), there’s a new 20mm axle option that’s swappable with existing Haven wheels and a new black rim colorway.
