Rockshox New Argyle RCT Slopestyle Fork and One-Sided Maxle Lite

SEA OTTER CLASSIC 2010 – In addition to the Vivid Air, Turncoat and some spied SID and Monarch models, Rockshox was showing off their new Argyle RCT slopestyle/DJ fork and a totally redesigned Maxle Lite with one-sided operation.

The Argyle RCT, drawing on their new product naming scheme, comes with Rebound, Compression and Threshold adjustments.  While the threshold adjustment is internal, the compression and rebound settings are made via external knobs.  More details, photos and info after the break…

The Argyle RCT gets aluminum upper tubes and internally adjustable travel at 80, 100 and 140mm settings.

Top-mounted compression knob also houses the cover for Floodgate threshold adjustments.

Rebound knob is on the bottom…

…which conveniently doubles as the tension adjustment knob for the new Maxle Lite.

From the bottom, you have the original Maxle, then Maxle 360, then the Maxle Lite.  The new Maxle Lite is at the top, and has no nut on the side opposite the lever..Instead, it threads in then uses an expansion wedge to lodge itself into place, creating a small bit of hub compression to keep everything nice and tight.  Bonus: it’s about 7g lighter.  Spec: 20×110 standard.

A Solo Air cartridge handles the suspension duties, allowing you to set the spring rate according to your weight, and like the rest of their forks, air settings are printed directly on the lowers.

The graphics may or may not fit in with your bike, but you’ve already stripped the labels from your frame anyway, right?
