The first BIG IN BAVARIA contest in 2009 featured the Who-is-Who of the dirt jump scene, which is reflected by the list of names on the podium: The mountain bike category was dominated by Martin Soderstrom (SWE, 1st), followed by Sam Pilgrim (GBR) and Darren Berrecloth (CAN), who are three of the biggest players in dirt jumping as well as the first two are also the leaders of the FMB World Tour ranking right now. Brandon Dosch won the BIG IN BAVARIA in BMX, followed by his American fellow TJ Ellis and the young German rookie Simon Moratz.

The BIKE EXPO hosts the BIG IN BAVARIA on the public days during the weekend like in 2009. But on the first two days of the BIKE EXPO 2010 – which are only open for trade visitors – ambitious riders can compete in the GO BIG OR GO HOME competition to get the unique chance to hit the super-sized doubles of the BIG IN BAVARIA with the invited pros. Of course, the GO BIG OR GO HOME jumps will be smaller sized than the BIG IN BAVARIA dirt line. But the separate course will also offer a lot of airtime, so everyone can show his skills and newest tricks in front of the BIKE EXPO tradeshow. The mountain bike attendees get an additional candy on top: The BIG IN BAVARIA is one out of five GOLD level events of the Freeride Mountain Bike (FMB) World Tour, which means that riders from around the world can score high points for the official overall world ranking. Take your chance and go big!
From July 22nd until 25th 2010, the BIKE EXPO will become the place to be for all dirt jump freaks, bike fans and the whole cycling industry.
