SEA OTTER CLASSIC 2010 – Cinelli had one of their upcoming Zydeco cyclocross bikes on display at the Otter, and it’ll hit stores this Summer.

The frame is made up of Columbus Zonal triple butted 7005 T6 aluminum with a heavily shaped, oversized “Supersection” downtube for pedaling stiffness.  The semi-sloping top tube is slightly ovalized to make shouldering a bit more tolerable, and it comes as a frame, fork and FSA headset for $1,149.

The frameset comes with a color-matched Columbus Tusk carbon ‘cross fork that has widely spaced legs for better mud clearance.  The lower part of the legs is clearcoated to let the carbon fiber show through.

There’s lots of different ways to show you the downtube’s shape, so here goes…

Above and below, the downtube intersects the bottom bracket shell right in the widest part of it’s shaping, and the boxed off super section is said to all but eliminate flex.

Fairly fat, straight aluminum stays should help put the power down and the bumps up.
