SEA OTTER CLASSIC 2010 – Niner’s all-new Jet 9 made its public debut here, and it’s every bit as pretty as their leaked images suggest.

All the tech info, specs and what not can be found in this post, but we’ve got real-world photos and weights just after the jump.  This bike is a production-spec bike with two differences.  On the driveside seatstay, the rear derailleur cable will actually run under the tube, not on top as shown here.  On the non-drive side, the rear brake cable will also run underneath, not on top.

Check it all out…

26lbs 14oz fully built ain’t too shabby, and other than XX group, it’s not built with exceedingly light parts.  Meaning you could build one up to about 25.5lbs if you put your 401K into it.

Build is SRAM XX group, Fox RP23 rear shock…

…Chris King hubs, Stans ZTR 355 rims and Continental Race King tires.  OK, so maybe it is a pretty high-end build, but little tweaks here and there can probably get it down a bit if you’re a total weight weenie like me.  (Other parts include Thomson stem and seatpost, WTB saddle and Ergon grips.  I didn’t catch what handlebar they used.)

The Air 9 Carbon was also on hand to ogle.  What’s striking about this bike when you actually see it in person is how massive the downtube and headtube area are.  These pictures don’t fully do it justice:
