New High-End Handlebars and Wheels from Ritchey Logic

Ritchey Logic is using Sea Otter to “unveil” some new 2010 products that weren’t quite ready for the world at Interbike.

They include the top of the line Superlogic Carbon 10D flat bar, above, that keeps an “ideal” 5º hand bend angle without requiring a longer stem since the bar extends forward first.  Since there’s no rise, this could be just the ticket for 29ers, particularly smaller sizes, and especially good for those crazy people that like to run it fully rigid.

It’s designed for XC / Marathon use and is built with UD carbon fiber for a weight of 130g.  Width is 620mm, OS 31.8 clamp area and an MSRP of $199.95 finish up the spec list.

There’s also WCS-level carbon curved road handlebar and Zeta racing/training wheels.  Jump on past the break to see them…

The WCS Zeta wheelset is a training and racing wheel with Vanadium alloy rims that uses “dogbone” spoke hole drilling, Trifecta lacing  and an Off-Center Rim (OCR) to create a more equally triangular lacing structure for better torsional and lateral strength.  The 24mm profile rims are laced with Sapim CX and CX-Ray spokes.  Weight is 665g front ($299.95) / 880g rear ($409.95) for a 1,545g wheelset.  Rear wheel is available with either SRAM/Shimano or Campy freehub bodies. (for more info on the tech and lacing of these wheels, check our Interbike posts here and here which, upon review, actually does have some of these items, but this post has more current info.  Enjoy the rehash.)

The new WCS Carbon Curve drop bar is new since Interbike, though.  It’s available in 40cm, 42cm and 44cm widths, and all sizes share the same 128mm drop and OS 31.8mm clamp area.  It’s made of a carbon monocoque construction with a lightweight 3K weave finish and is designed with a continuous decreasing radius bend.  The shape is pure classic round drop bars, but it does have cable housing indents for clean runs.  The shallow drop makes it easier to use with short headset stacks. Weight is 210g and MSRP is $284.95.  An alloy version is also available for $96.95.

They’ve promised some new goodies on display at Sea Otter, so stay tuned!
