Fresh outta the build stand is the Lynskey Pro29 Lefty 29er titanium hardtail.  They hinted at this before the holidays, but we never did manage to get any spy shots outta them, but here it is.

Built using Lynskey’s Helix frameset with 3/2.5 titanium tubing built around a BB30 bottom bracket and a Lefty specific headtube.  Other than the headtube, it’s the same bike as their relatively new Pro29 hardtail, and shares the slider dropouts that let you run it geared or as a singlespeed.

Pricing, specs and more photos after the break…

This bike’s so fresh, they don’t even have full glamour shots up on their website…just some build photos.  This one’s getting the royal treatment with full SRAM XX and the carbon Lefty 29er.  There’s a photo of it on the scale on their website, but the numbers aren’t visible.

Like the Ridgeline (shown here) and Pro29, the Lefty version will use their versatile dropouts with removable/replaceable standard dropouts, letting you ride single speed or fully geared.  One frame, two options, so you don’t have to buy two bikes.

The BB30 bottom bracket gives Lynskey a nice big tube to maximize the width of the adjoining tubes and give the chainstays a nice wide stance to increase stiffness and pedaling efficiency.

Prices start at $2,295 for the frame only, letting you pick whichever Lefty fork suits your needs (or, let’s face it, your budget…because everyone needs the top of the line).  Different finish and paint options can push the cost up to $3,090 and custom fits start at $3,295 and run all the way up to $5,395.

Specs on their website list the chainstay length at a very short (for a 29er) 17.1″ and recommend (and limit to) a 100mm travel fork.

This video’s about the Pro29 (non-Lefty) bike, but gives you a good run down on the frame from Mr. Lynskey himself:

Nice Lynkie. or.. whatever. I now can have my fork serviced once a month at Dicks Sporting Goods. I think they’re a Cannondale dealer. I hope hey have parts for my Raptor too.
