Here’s a great post sent to us by Andreas over at Londoncyclist.co.uk. Andreas chose three routes and rode each of them by bike and then by subway–and found that the bike was on average 33% faster! Read his post about it here.
He was inspired by the TopGear episode where the host races by bike from West London to the London City Airport during rush hour against three other modes of transportation: a car, a speedboat, and public transportation (OMG, the bike won!).
Oh, and if you haven’t watched TopGear, make it a New Year’s resolution to do so.
