PRESS RELEASE:  A big yellow truck full of ALMOST brand new bikes will be coming home to Santa Cruz following the Interbike tradeshow, and we are going to be hosting a day-long, hands-on, frenzy of demo rides at Wilder Ranch. Bikes available for riding will include everything we make except for Stigmatas and Chameleons, but will be skewed toward our newer bikes. In other words, a big pile of carbon fiberTallboys, Blur XCs and Blur LTs will be on hand, as well as a giant stack of aluminum LTs, Nomads,Driver 8s, V-10s (yeah, we know, Wilder isn’t exactly the perfect venue for V-10s and Driver 8s, but they’ll be there anyway). We’ll also have a pretty solid sampling of all our single pivot range (with an emphasis on Hecklers and Superlights). We’re talking over 70 bikes here.

INTERBIKE 2009 - Redline has introduced a few new bikes for 2010 and made little changes to a few others. The 2010 Flight line, including the Pro XL/ XXL, Pro 24, Expert XL, and Expert are mostly unchanged with the exception of the use of a Answer Scythe carbon fiber fork (closer picture below). The Flight Mini, Micro, and Junior are using Redline carbon forks.
New bikes for this year include the Device freestyle BMX and Device 26″, MX20, D600 geared 29er, and a kids Conquest 20″. There are other material changes and fork swaps for this year. Pics and details below…
INTERBIKE 2009 – Fyxation added some new colors to their popular Session 700 street tires.  The original colors are in the foreground, the new additions are Blue, Red and two Whitewall colors in the back: Black and Brown.
The whitewalls were added to go with the current retro style bikes.  The Session 700 tires are designed for urban, freestyle and fixed gear riding and have extra thick (DH-worthy) sidewalls to prevent rim damage and pinch flats and generally take the abuse of jumping a 700c road wheel off curbs and such.  They’re $49.95, weigh 405g, have 120 TPI casings and should be inflated to 80 – 110 PSI.
Fyxation also had some other cool color stuff to get your fixie all matchy-matchy-foo-foo…check ‘em out after the break…
INTERBIKE 2009 – In addition to the road-going R-SYS Ultimate, Mavic was showing off one of two pair of new Crossmax Ultimates.  Shown above in Clincher form, Mavic claims they weigh in at just 1250g per set, a full 270g (0.6 lbs!!!) lighter than their Crossmax SLR Disc wheelset.
Supposedly, these have been raced under the Luna Chix and Euro Cannondale racers this year, as well as in the Beijing Olympics.  The other pair they weren’t showing?  Those would be the Crossmax Ultimate Tubulars that weigh in at approximately 1150g.  More on those and lots of good photos after the jump…
INTERBIKE 2009 – Mavic had two ridiculously lightweight wheelsets on display, and this is one of them: The R-SYS Ultimate prototype.
They have a claimed weight of 950g per set, and the front wheel is under 400g!  (With their permission, we tried to weigh them, but Mavic’s people couldn’t get them un-bolted without seriously altering the display…thanks for trying, though!)  Mavic says these have been riding in this year’s Giro d’Italia, and they’re being developed as proof-of-concept of what they’re capable of from an engineering standpoint.
The wheels are tubular-only and are basically a fully bonded construction.

INTERBIKE 2009 – Oury introduced a new Brown color in the classic grips and are reintroducing Celeste (mint green) and Pink.  For the lock-on grips, they’ve added Green, Red and Blue to the original Black.
