linus-roadster-bike-classic_blueFound this brand while surfing around some Conde Nast websites under “cool things.”

Linus Bikes describes their line as “simple, affordable, elegant bikes for riding around and doing stuff.”  The Linus Roadster Classic, above, captures that fairly well, and at $359 it’s relatively affordable.  The frame is Hi-Tensile steel, which ain’t the best material in the world, but it makes up for that with alloy rims and stainless spokes, aluminum cranks, Shimano coaster brake hub and polished aluminum handlebar with genuine leather grips.  It even comes with an alloy bell, and it’s available in two sizes and three colors: Blue (shown), black and cream.

They have three other models, (two women’s) some with gears and brakes and all, but the Roadster and women’s Dutchi (shown after the break) are the best looking thanks to their simplicity.

linus-dutchi-womens-bicycleThe women’s Dutchi is $408 and is a Hi-Ten frame with Chromoly downtube, chainguard and painted steel fenders w/ aluminum braces.  It comes with a rear rack, shown below, and is available in three colors: red, black and cream.
