rock racing team closing down discontinue tyler hamilton rock and republic jeans bicycle pro tour uci continental cycling bike

VeloNews is reporting that Rock Racing Pro Cycling Team may be the victim of some budget cuts at Rock & Republic Jeans.

While no one is confirming it, and several people are actually stating that the team will race as planned, there are some factors that cast doubt on their future.  For instance, 10 of their riders were left off the USA Cycling Continental Pro Team roster, and one rider is saying he’s had no communication with team management.

We’ve got one of our writers looking into it and we’ll keep you posted…

Someone who is not a pro

The Arena Football League won’t play in 2009, Tiger Woods got flicked by Buick and the economy is in the toilet in general. Should we be surprised that the team might be having some $$ trouble?

ten names were left of the list cause that idiot ball contracted 27 riders, the uci only always 17 riders to be on a Pro Continental team. if he spent more time reading the rules and less time giving second and third chances to see how many ex-dopers he could get on a team, maybe he’d known that. see below about the Rahsaan Bahati, the cirrent Nat’l crit champ being left of the team.
