River’s Edge Mountain Bike Marathon, a 50-mile race, will be held at the US National Whitewater Center on Sept. 7, 2008.  Neal Boyd, founder of Charlotte Sports Cycling, puts on some great events, and this one shouldn’t be any different.  The event is the official Southeast Mountain Bike Marathon Championships and will crown the top 6 men and women riders.  There are also Duo categories with prizes for top 3 teams.  More info, schedule, etc. can be found here.
