Here’s the latest from graphic artist Thomas Yang’s 100Copies series. Returning back to representing the bike after some time away – although not a fixie rider himself he says – this 40th print in the series visits the pure form of the fixed gear. No brakes and the fixed drive means sliding to stop in the urban environment. So this print pays hoomage to the skidding fixie.

100copies #40 Just Skidding

Composed of 6825 of a few different little fixie pictograms placed individually (plis a sneaky 100 in the corner), together the whole crafts an image of “two riders skidding in synchronicity – a braking technique that can only be achieved with a fixie.”

As always, 100Copies recreates the original in a limited run of 100 archival prints. The offset lithograph prints on recycled 220g MapleWhite paper are 84 x 54cm (~33 x 21″), hand numbered, and selling for $90 with worldwide shipping for around $15 more. Act fast to get this one to grace your walls.
