Paul Component is celebrating founder Paul’s favorite beer, the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, by commissioning a one-off full custom Squid Bikes called the Sierra Shredder. The parts come from Paul, White Industries, and Velocity and get special paint or a unique Pale Ale Green anodization that is being done exclusively for this bike.

The custom squid mountain bike will hearken back to the BMX-style bikes we all rode as kids, but sized up for adults to goof off on around town and trail. It’s called the Squid Shred-to-Ed.

So, why not offer this green as a limited edition parts run? They say this hue is extremely hard to reproduce and match, which translates to mean they’d see too much variation from batch to batch and part to part, making it look pretty bad if you were trying to build up a green bike of your own. The other bad news? Their 2017 Blue color is now discontinued. But, they will be announcing their new limited run color for 2018 on March 6, so stay tuned!

Paul you’re either totally awesome or just like all the cool bike people I’ve ever met. Thanks for the beautiful colors

Tease! Where is the photo of the complete bike? And I didn’t know Paul made Blake Levers.

This would fit great with my cannondale’s paint scheme except all the parts on my cannondale have stupid proprietary cannondale standards.
