South American reader Javier Monllor just sent in this photo of his Tarmac taking a break on El Toyo Bridge over the rushing Rio Maipo in the mountains just southeast of Santiago, Chile.

We always love seeing photos from where you are riding and are happy to share them with our readers around the world here on the Pic Of The Day. Send in your pics with a brief description here.

Excellent route and with little vehicular traffic along the old road to the El Toyo Bridge, from Santiago to that point are approximately 38 miles. Please note the chocolate colored water due to the melting of the summer season, in winter the water is of lighter color. Much of the drinking water consumed in Santiago comes from that river.
