The Vee Tire Crown Gem is getting a massive range of sizes for all wheel diameters. It’s coming in a 2.25″ width for 12/14/16/18/20/24 inch wheel diameters. And the larger 20″ and 24″ get a premium 120tpi casing, folding bead, tubeless ready construction for 20″ and 24″. Even with all that, retail will be a mere $29.90 per tire.

The smaller sizes use a less expensive 72tpi casing and wire bead. Retail is just $14-19. More tread patterns likely to follow.

For us big kids, the Crown Gem 27.5×3.8 is a new mid/full fat bike tire for trail riders. Weight is 1380g. Look for more bike brands to start offering fat bike models made for this wheel size, but we’re expecting them to be more oriented to year ’round trail riding and see snow riding stick to 26″ wheels and 4″ or larger tires.

Vee Tire Co Flow Snap 29x26 29er enduro mountain bike tire

The Flow Snap gets a 29×2.6 option for really aggressive riding. It gets their Tackee 52/48a dual compound and 72tpi 2-ply casing, so it’s burly. But still folding bead and tubeless ready, and even e-bike ready. 1,030g claimed weight.

Coming sometime early next year will be a new gravel bike tire using a tread similar to this one. No details are ready, just a little sneak peek, but we should be getting an early test sample when they’re close.

I think I count 22 knobs across on that gravel tire. Vee-22?

Will the 29er enduro tire be available in a harder compound? All these soft PNW tires last like 2 weeks in the desert.

Really, I highly doubt that to be the life span of tires. Unless you’re buying racing slicks with almost no tread. What tires are you using

Glad to see more kiddo tire choices. most of the stock tires, even on nice kids bikes (Islabikes, Cleary, etc.) are pavement oriented and suck on dirt. I switched my kids to some Schwalbe’s, but man, there were like 2 options to choose from for non-garbage tires when I was last looking.

Do they still have 29 x 3.0?

Or any tire size 2.6 and bigger. I have yet to see any of these new tires that have been announced and most of the useful tires are out of stock on their website.
