This might be a pretty random roundup but there’s still something for everyone. Nalgene released a soft water-bottle that all athletes can enjoy. Mission Workshop is offering a modular cell phone pocket that fits on a range of their bags allowing for easier access. The boutique spin class studio Flywheel is selling their own spinning shoes and offering complimentary use at all of their in-store classes. And Two Wheel Gear posted episode 2, “the small ones are just as good,” to humorously promote their convertible backpack pannier. Get the details past the break…
Nalgene
The latest offering from Nalgene is the 22 oz Draft bottle. It has a soft squeezable BPA, BPS, and Phthalate free build that’s backed a lifetime warranty. Similar to many of their other offerings, it’s durable and leak proof. The lid gets a large twist-lock valve that prevents leaks, and a squeeze and shoot style nozzle. The $11 bottle comes in 4 colours; natural, green, purple and berry.
Mission Workshop
Mission Workshop brings the Arkiv Cell Pocket to their Rucksacks, Arkiv Pack, Cargo and Barrel Duffel bags. It comes in small and large sizes, internally the small is 2.64 x 5.44″ and the large is 3.07 x 6.23″ (large is a secure fit for a cased iPhone 7+ and slightly roomy for the Samsung Galaxy S8). The weatherproof pocket is closed with a robust Velcro flap and offers riders a secure and accessible location to put their phone. Starting at $27 (small) and $28 (large) it comes in 12 fabric colours and six clip colours.
FLYWHEEL
Spin class provider Flywheel Sports have released their spinning focused Fly Fierce shoe. The Fly Fierce features a three-strap Velcro system on top, a stiff heel cup for extra support and a breathable insole. A mesh upper and antimicrobial tech all-around helps wick sweat and control odor. For $130 they come with Look Delta cleats and range in sizes from 36 – 50. They’re also complimentary for in-studio use.
Two Wheel Gear
That goofy team at Two Wheel Gear released episode 2, “The small ones are just as good,” to highlight their convertible backpack pannier. Let’s recap our previous coverage from last year. The 24L pack gets a reflective rain fly for wet riding – backpack use recommended during poor conditions – and a built-in weatherproof 600D polyester shell for surprise showers (pun not initially intended). Starting at $120 the pack houses a standard 15″ laptop sleeve, U-Lock storage pouch and two side pouches for bottles (Price varies with the material).
