Mavic is bringing their mountain bike apparel line back to the U.S. with the new XA line of shorts and jerseys. Going for a more understated look with dark colors and simple designs, the line also has nice technical features too.

Both the XA Pro Jersey ($99.95) and Pro Jersey Long Sleeve ($109.95) use Mavic’s Trail Wick Wind material. This material adds protection from the wind while keeping it light. Small laser cut holes down the center of the back help add ventilation, which Mavic claims work even while wearing a backpack. Both are cut for a a more roomy fit, but are articulated to move well while in the riding position.

The XA Pro Short ($109.95) and Under Bib Short ($69.95) are designed to work together, but function separately as well. The shorts feature a DWR finish to repel water and use reinforced material in the saddle area to increase durability. The Under Short uses Mavic’s Wick Matrix Seamless construction to balance a soft feel with plenty of stretch and fast drying. The low cut increases ventilation without sacrificing the stability inherent in a bib short. Available now at local Mavic dealers and online.

Always thrilled to have more “grown up” clothing options vs the loud, downhill, XTREME!, obnoxious brah editions. Kitsbow/Rapha level/class designs are too expensive. Understated technical clothing is difficult to find at affordable prices.

Ah yes, I too appreciate how understated Mavic always is, such as with their Deemax DH wheels: https://shop.mavic.com/en-us/deemax-dh-rv0813.html#1028=3419

I agree. Panache will have a mountain bike line again this year. Also Mission Workshop isn’t too crazy when looking at shorts and tees.

Looks good. Who’s going to sell in the USA?

Looks like the Arcteryx/Salomon branch of the Amer Sports tree is paying design/tech dividends for Mavic.
