Let’s be honest, this is what you clicked through to see first. Brent’s first bike didn’t waste any time going big…with a full 6″ of rear wheel travel mated to 60-80mm of front travel.
Over the years, he’s stuck with the simple, effective single pivot design, though his more modern bikes get a linkage driven shock that allows him to fine tune the shock rate and gives you adjustable travel.
Manitou’s pressing hard to fill underserved categories with top notch bits. They were some of the first true “Plus” forks on the market a few years ago, and now they’re offering a big, stiff, and temperature insensitive long travel suspension fork in the Mastodon.
Switch the shock’s lower mount to adjust travel length, from 150mm to 160mm.
The Analog plus hardtail is a project in conjunction with DVO suspension to create the BMR model shown here. The frame itself will be available soon, but it’s not in the website/catalog as of this post.
