White industries is known for making beautiful, durable, and functional parts all right here in the United States. Soon, you’ll be able to add headsets to those parts. Installed on a number of bikes around the show, White Industries also had a display of headsets in their booth which are close to making it to production. The official launch will be later in the year, but we picked up some of the basic details from the show…

When it comes to their construction, with the exception of the bearings the new headsets are all aluminum. That includes the preload top cap bolt which uses an oversized head and a matching top cap. Inside each headset, you’ll find a matching Enduro stainless bearing.

White Industries says that they will initially offer fitments for a number of sizes including standard external 1 1/8″ headsets, and internal and external cup configurations for ZS44, 34/44mm external, 44/56mm internal, and a 41mm integrated non-campy headset. To be available in all of the colors above, pricing is still being finalized with the goal of an official release by Eurobike/Interbike.

I got some of these for bikes at NAHBS, they are incredibly nice. Seriously. For a first effort, with the exception of one little issue they were perfect! Oh, and the issue, it’s been addressed and wasn’t even that massive a thing that I couldn’t fix it in a couple minutes.
I would buy one of these over a certain other brands headset in a second.
The design addresses a bunch of issues I’ve always disliked about some other headsets.

That review was even more generic than “torsionally stiff, vertically compliant”

You consider looking at, and describing a product, a review?

That’s what a product review is, yes.

A lot of companies seem to be initially on the fence about orange. Deity didn’t start orange until their new lineup. Seems like most companies come around eventually.

Are they doing anything special with the expander or star fangled nut?

Sezzier than a Chris King. Want it in black, would match my Boyd wheels’ hubs!
