Adidas has been stamping its foot back into cycling as of late with new premium road kit for both warm and cold weather. Now with dreams of sunny days on the bike returning with spring ahead, the latest out of Sport Eyewear collection – the Zonyk Pro sunglasses  – will keep that future glare at bay with a stylish new look. Behind those big glossy auto-darkening lenses there’s a suitable amount of tech to make for a good on-the-bike fit. Check out the details after the break…

The Zonyk Pro sunglasses start at $209, and are now available in two new frame colors – shiny white and matte coal black, in addition to about 8 other color/lens combinations. The white shades come with a fast auto-darkening photochromatic VARiO blue lens, while the black ones get a gold to purple version of the same VARiO lens that also includes Adidas’ light stabilizing tech (LST) for improved contrast for better visibility in and out of the shadows.

The Zonyk Pro frames pack in adjustable three-position temples, a two-position nose bridge to dial in their fit, a removable foam bar across the top of the frame to keep sweat out of your eyes, and the lens lock system that makes it fast & easy to swap different lenses yet still secure. They also come in two sizes – small & large – to fit a wider range of cyclists.

Both polycarbonate lens options get a mirrored finish as well to keep out more light. Additional lenses are also available to snap into the Zonyk Pro to offer other features like fixed sunshading, polarization, or additional anti-fogging for a variety of weather conditions of types of riding. They even are available with a clip-in Rx insert for prescription lenses.

A non-pro Zonyk starting at $160 without the anti-sweat bar and less tech-heavy lenses is also available in several color & lens variations.

Tough sell at that price point considering what other items go for with the Adidas logo.

Part of branding high dollar things like Oakley and Apple is the fact nothing they sell is cheap.

There is no way! This exactly the same thing as Rudy Project having a $400+ helmet. It’s just going to sell. In this case these will end up at a discount retailer near you

I hope so, they’re decent looking for off the bike, if nothing else… my Jawbreakers are too good and while i’d like to switch for some variety, I can’t fault them!
