I love the bike vs car thing, and ride in snow myself. “Showing off the capabilities of a 27.5+”, shows the effectiveness of marketing. It looks like a skateboard can make it through.

Man those tires really float over that dusting of snow!

Once again, Minneapolis is laughing at you, Portland.

…. and Portland is laughing right back at you. When it finally thaws out there 6 months from now you’ll have mosquitos the size of birds for your month long summer.

We can now! Not from liquor stores, but breweries and taprooms are open and can sell growlers, bottles, and crowlers. Unless the brewery makes too much beer, then you can’t fill a growler. No one’s perfect.

To be fair, it was 8″ by the end of the day and there is practically zero local infrastructure to deal with the weather. As a former Coloradan and Vermonter who now lives in Portland, I see no need to laugh.

Amen! As another PNWer (Seattle area) we just don’t have the infrastructure or support to deal with the snow that shows up once or twice a year… But at least in our area, this year it’s been the ice and freezing temps, not the snow!
