We’ve been reading and poring over the photos and stories in the annual cyclocross season wrap-up that professional cycling photographer Balint Hamvas has put together since his first edition back in 2009/2010. Last year he took to Kickstarter to fund the project so that he could devote more time to cyclocross and ensure that there was sufficient demand to support his muddy passions. While he ran into a couple of ill-timed snags last year that delayed the project a bit (sucks for a pro photog to get their computer stolen: remember to back everything up folks!), he appreciated the connection to his supporters and is going that route again…

This’ll be the 7th edition of the coffee table book that true cross fans use to show their fascination with the crazy discipline of mud, blood & beer. Hamvas is promising another 240 pages illustrating what makes cross great, plus a collection of behind the scenes stories pulled together from his friends and colleagues covering cross racing in the press. The 2016/2017 Cyclocross Album will set you back £35 over at Kickstarter, and he says he’ll hit the July publication date for sure this time again. Another fiver will get your name in the book as a supporter, plus some more options to get a signed limited edition print, or even your own copy signed by one of the new World Champs to be crowned at the end on January.
