Where else to race

  • 2017 Southern Cross Gravel Grind registration is now open – Looking for an event that’s and actual adventure? Feel free to check out north Georgia’s Maxxis Tires Southern Cross Ultra Gravel Grind. It’s got a long name and a solid 55 mile course length with a bit over 7,000 ft of elevation gain (two major climbs). It covers the bases with a mix of pavement, gravel roads, and some short sections of singletrack trail. It is is cross bike or mountain bike friendly, so pick your poison. Register now for the March 4, 2017 event, as it is limited to a 350 rider field. MountainGoatAdventures.com
  • Some gravel plans for 2017 with the Rasputitsa Spring Classic – Rasputitsa is Russian for “mud season” which should give a hint as to what’s in store for this April 22, 2017 event.  The 40-mile Vermont race is essentially for bragging rights. Dubbed a “Total Sufferfest” by olympian Lea Davison, who pre-rode the course in February 2016 as a fundraiser for Little Bellas, it sounds like a good time on two muddy wheels. RasputitsaGravel.com

Warrior Creek is a blast. It has berms done right, and is the best combo of traditional and new-school trails I’ve ridden.
