Want to ride a charity event without ever leaving your house? You can do just that this coming Saturday, December 3rd which marks the second annual 24 hour Zwiftathon. It’s just like normal Zwift riding, only this time you’ll be riding with one of the largest virtual cycling communities at one time including pros like Jens Voight, Matt Hayman, Andy Hampsten, Lauren ten Dam, and more. In fact, there’s actually a WBR Ride with Andy Hampsten & Team 7-Eleven during the Zwiftathon at 11 am EST.

Set over the course of 24 hours, the goal for the entire community is to reach 250,000 miles (402.3K km). If that happens, Trek will donate $45,000 to World Bicycle Relief. Further fundraising will be met through individuals who register and set up their own fundraising page. Those who participate in the fundraising for the event will be entered to win various prizes and the top fundraiser will ride home on a real life Trek Project One Madone with SRAM eTap and Zipp wheels plus a CycleOps Hammer Direct Drive trainer to make those Zwift sessions even more fun.

At the end of the day all of the donations go straight to World Bicycle Relief so you can feel good about your fundraising and your miles on the trainer. Head over to World Bicycle Relief to register (which is free). Don’t have Zwift? If you download the free 14 day trial now, you should be good for the Zwiftathon.
