Kore Components oval chainrings

Among narrow/wide replacement chainrings, Kore’s differentiated themselves with a slightly hooked tooth profile that literally grabs the chain as it pulls it around, shaped to release it at just the right time so there’s no chain suck.

Now, they’ve added oval versions for both SRAM Direct Mount and 104 BCD types. The 104 BCD versions will come in 32/34/36/38 tooth counts, and the direct mount option adds 26/28/30 counts. Retail from $71.99, available in red, orange, green, blue, dark purple and silver…

The Mega handlebar range gets new graphics and a new matte anodizing as opposed to gloss or bead blasting. Most bars are blasted or polished to get rid of the marks and grain variations that result from manufacturing, but Kore simply cleans them really well first. So, they’ll show what may appear to be subtle blemishes, but it’s just part of the metal’s normal changes as its bent and formed into a bar.

The bars stretch 20mm to 780mm wide. Weight is TBD, probably right about 256g for alloy and 235g for carbon. There’ll be 20mm and 30mm rise options, 5° upsweep, 8° backsweep. All stems switch to black bolts, which make them look better when paired with the new bars.
