Let’s be real, if you’re looking to upgrade your wheels, looks can sometimes be just as important as specs. Because of that, Rolf has done pretty well after introducing their custom wheel program. But for those looking for something a little more… exclusive, they’ve also been offering a few limited edition wheelsets. Take their latest offering – the matte silver Elan and Elan α wheels. Only 30 sets will be made, those these should be remain quite unique…

According to Rolf, the limited edition matte silver Vigor wheels were so popular, they decided to do a similar release for the Elan. Calling on their current hub builder, White Industries, limited matte silver hubs are being mated to the silver rims which are made by Rolf in Eugene, OR. Rolf points out that the ability to do such small runs of custom products is a luxury afforded by their ability to make their own parts and work closely with U.S. suppliers like White Industries.

Available in the Elan or  Elan α, the  Elan α model adds their TdF 5.5 hubset with Enduro Ceramic Zero cartridge bearings and bladed Sapim CX-Ray spokes for a higher end build that is also a bit lighter at 1335g vs 1345g for the Elan. While the Elan α gets upgraded bearings, both wheelsets feature the U.S. made TdF hubs with titanium freehub bodies. The 22mm deep and 22/18mm (ext/int) wide 700c rims are tubeless compatible and rim brake only.

Priced at $1199 for the Elans and $1399 for the Elan α, Rolf is taking orders now with wheels shipping by December.
