Chris Van Dine, Antoine Bizet and Wil White lead the way through the urban downhill course in Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico. Yes, we would very much like to do this, and apparently lots of others do, too. 40,000 folks showed up to support the event, the final stop in the 2016 City Downhill World Tour series held this past weekend. Johannes Fischbach took the win, but you can check out Filip Polc’s second place run in first person POV below…

Possibly a naive question, but why not run a slick or semi-slick tire on a course like this?

There are not many 2.5+ dual ply slick or semi-slick downhill tires out there. The only one I can think of is a dual ply Maxxis Hookworm which is full slick and has no corner knobs.
