Colnago’s put an interesting take on selling direct to consumer by opening up prior year’s models to online sales. You’ll still need to go through your dealer to pick them up, and new (current model year) bikes will only be available for purchase at your local bike shop, but now you can shop for older models from the comfort of your home.

You’ll find the online shop under the “Shop” tab on their website, where you’ll find anything left from 2016 and older. 2017 models won’t be on there, presumably until the 2018 bikes start hitting dealers. The bikes are predictably discounted of their original MSRP. Order one, and you’ll pick from any area dealers for the bike’s delivery, where that shop will help you get fit to the bike. Dealers can opt out of the program, but Colnago says there are incentives for participation.
