As the only female mechanic on the pro world tour, Colavita’s Andrea Smith tells how she got where she is. Assuming you’re able to fix your own bike even half as well as her, throw the next video up on the big screen while you get ready for today’s ride…

The folks at Pas Normal Studios, who make some very nice cycling clothing, went on a ride from Oslo to Copenhagen and documented the tour.

“Assuming you’re able to fix your own bike even half as well as her, throw the next video up on the big screen while you get ready for today’s ride…”

Most unnecessary line ever. What exactly are you getting at with that? It’s kind of like a way to say most women mechanics can’t really fix bikes that well, but you should watch the video anyway?

Maybe start having the ladies on staff read your posts to prevent backhanded compliments towards women in the industry.

I viewed it as a compliment… Quit being so sensitive and making a big deal out of nothing.

Keep over reading things radicalrye… You would not have said that if it said “him” instead of “her” the point the artical is that she kicks butt, that’s it. I’ve see loads of articald talking about excellent male mechanics that read the same way. Quit trying to make something out of nothing.
