March Madness meet July Madness – RoadID is giving away 1 Million dollars for the perfect Tour de France bracket. Just picking the winner won’t net you a cool million however, you’ll have to predict the top ten GC finishers, in exact order. Even if you don’t win the grand prize with the perfect bracket, RoadID is giving away $1,000 and a $250 RoadID gift card to the top three best brackets, along with the next 7 best receiving a $250 RoadID gift card. Unfortunately for our international readers, you must be a US resident to enter. Head over here to enter and check out more details after the break!

From RoadID:

Road ID, the manufacturer of the premiere line of identification gear for cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts, is stoking the first-ever Tour de France Madness by funding a one million dollar prize for anyone filling out a “perfect bracket” for the upcoming Tour.

Visitors to RoadID.com/Win can fill out a bracket listing their picks for the Top Ten overall finishers, in exact order, for the General Classification of the 2014 Tour. Anyone who fills out a perfect bracket and correctly guesses the Top Ten in exact order is eligible to win an unprecedented one million dollar prize.

Road ID Ambassador and Tour television color commentator Bob Roll said, “It’s great to see a company like Road ID bringing some positive energy and fun into the sport of cycling. Picking the Top Ten GC finishers in order won’t be easy, but it’s definitely doable. If someone pulls this off, my job might be in jeopardy.”

Beyond the grand prize for a perfect bracket, Road ID is also awarding prizes to the top ten “best brackets” — those with the most correct riders within the top ten overall of the Tour. The top three (3) best brackets will each receive $1,000 and a $250 Road ID gift card, with the remaining seven (7) best brackets each receiving a $250 Road ID gift card.

The promotion, which is free to enter, runs from June 24, 2014 at 5pm ET to July 4, 2014 at 5pm ET, and is only available to the first 250,000 entrants. Participants can only enter the contest once, must be 18 years of age, a U.S. citizen, and enter through the official site

“The Tour de France is our Super Bowl, our March Madness — the one time each year when all eyes are on the cycling world,” commented P.J. Rabice, marketing director for Road ID. “And I am always looking for unique and creative ways to engage with cycling fans and introduce them to our line of ID products. So when the idea of running a $1 Million promotion came up, it was simply too enticing to pass up.”

Those would be the odds if you randomly selected your top 10, sure, but who’s going to do that? There are tons of riders to immediately discard.
