Known for its meticulous work with carbon, steel, and titanium, Québec based Guru Cycles has honored the Canadian Forces Base (CFB) Bagotville charity trust fund with the donation of two highly customized Photon SL road bikes. Gun past the break to see more; it will fill you with Canadian patriotism and make you want to ride, at the same time.

You can tell the Colonel in the middle is stoked.

Guru CEO Ted Matthews proudly stated, “The opportunity to work directly with CFB Bagotville officers was an ideal situation to demonstrate our manufacturing abilities, while giving back to our Troops and the communities. Our skilled metal and carbon artisans worked tirelessly to build two Photon SL bikes inspired by the CF-18 Hornet Fighter Aircrafts that our Air Force fly.”

On June 12-15th the CFB Bagotville cycling team will be riding 1,000 kilometers (621 miles) across the Providence of Québec as they participate in Le Grand défi Pierre Lavoie. Upon completion of the ride the two Photon SLs will be auctioned off in support of the CFB Bagotville charity trust fund which supports its local community. With an aggregate value in excess of $30,000, the funds raised from the auctioned Photon SLs will make no small difference.

We covered here the Hyperlight (HL) and its stupid-light frame of 670g; the Race (R) is the beefed up badboy; and the Superlight (SL) is the all-around-er. Ah, those lucky Canadians…
